I've grabbed a few things that I need from NAPA. They have 3 locations around where I live and I'm kinda in the middle. I use the website to find what I want and see if it's in stock or if I need to order it and come pick it up.
It asks me for my zipcode and to choose a location to make 'My Store', so I've always picked the same one because I drive by there the most.
Well tonight I looked up a radiator that I need really fast for my Explorer. My usual place had a price of $174 but none in stock. I figured I'd try a different local store. When I changed the "My Store" the price went down to $136!!!! WTF! Same part number. Same local area. I tried a few random parts and they're all the same. Different stores have different website prices for the same thing.
Some of you may have already known this, and maybe I'm just late to the dance on this one
Dealers have freedom to set their prices except for flyer sale prices. Don't know what the range or percentage is that Napa allows. Had a freind who worked in the local stores office, and the owner was raised their prices 30% across the board..They wound up going out of business and sold the dealership.
