Yes, there are pics floating around of it. You could take that off or use a T. I used a T so both still work

Also does that seem normal for oil pressure to take awhile to build while cranking over? If the guage is working properly

I don't think that factory guage ever has or ever will work properly. But yes it has to build oil pressure, how long is "awhile"

Maybe like 15seconds of straight cranking before the gauge even budges. And the reason it cranks for that long without start is because like stated above i have an air leak and i havnt dne a great job of bleeding the system as well

Ok deffinatly need real guage and fix the air in lines befor assuming a major issue like oil pump. I remember reading a few years ago that its very rare for the actual pump to go out. You may have other issues causing low oil pressure..but first get the guage, then well go from there

Wonder if the wires are crossed on the injection pump. One wire is power to the fuel shut off, the other runs to a temp sensor to advance the injection pump when cold. If the two are crossed the engine will shut off when it warms up.

How long does the engine run and when you warms up, do you mean looking at the temp gauge or when the cold idle drops rpm's or something else?

ok well good news fellas the the truck is up and running and i havnt got it to drop in oil pressure yet!!! to get it running i replaced the fuel filter because i noticed when turning the truck over the water in fuel light came at first i didnt pay attention to it cuz it would still start but run like crap well come to find out i believe the front tank has bad fuel in it but ihad switched it to that tank on the way home because it supposidly had the more fuel.the back tank is still pretty empty or the guage doesnt work but i put a few gallons in it so it could run long enough to get up to running temp and it hasnt ran rough or lost oil pressure yet!! and theirs no more white smoke when warmed up. i havnt got to drive it yet due to no fuel but tomarrow i will get some and take her for a spin i have to let her cool down now so i can replace the o rings on some of the injectors.they were brand new and the first two i found leaking ended up having bad o rings! the install kit came with crappy ones

Glad for ya. Now you just need to purge the front tank. I knew the two symptoms were un related. there was just no way for low oil preasure to cause the fuel to cut off. Now I suppose a guy could plumb and wire up a low oil cut off switch if he felt the need. But they weren't born that way.
