If you go with true duals do you end up losing your egr?
I may have to check out the pacesetter too but i was pretty set on a pair of hookers..
...lol. Ok, you can have a bung welded on to most any brand header, but the pacesetter's have it on there from the factory.
As stated before true duals will reduce your backpressure and hurt your low end, on top of that getting rid of the EGR will make you lose a few MPG. With all that, I figure I'd just as well go ahead and keep the EGR and go with pacesetter anda good Y-pipe.
Go on rpm outlet they have o2 simulators gettin a pair for my 96 and dads 96 due to pluged cats and 100 bucks for two sensors is better than the price of two new cats just find someone you can sell your other one to

Duals or single got nothing to do with EGR, on the 5.8 it just comes down to whether the headers have an EGR port or not and even if they don't adding one isn't a big deal, and on the 5.0 it's totally irrelevent because the EGR doesn't connect to the exhaust.

You can't replace the front O2 sensors with simulators, it's the only feedback the computer gets on the A/F ratio the engine is actually producing. This will also set codes and result in high fuel consumption.

tricking the computer is lame anyhow. get some high flow cats in there. your talking $60/cat
you probably need to get your pipe upgraded anyhow if its stock. take that time to go from 2 cats to 1 hi flow unit. we all breath better, performance is increased and the efi system is happy also.

I'm talkin about the third one between the two cats
no, you must keep the first 2 sensors. they should be on either side of the current y pipe near the collector. you should then have 1 cat and the 3rd o2 sensor and another cat after that.
you can put a hi flow cat before the last o2 and then no cat after.
the computer reads from either bank right/left and makes adjustments then confirming those with the last o2. obd-II is complicated in some ways but very efficient for this reason.
