Can anyone attest to the longivity and quality of the several aftermarket towing mirrors? I am specifically wondering about the power function that articulates the mirror.
I have temperamental mirrors on my LS430 and on my F350 the passenger mirror will move in, but not out. Both of those are OEM, so I worry that the aftermarket mirrors might even be worse.
I just bought an aftermarket mirror for my 99 Super off Rock Auto. My truck has the small ones not the tow mirrors but the difference between OEM and aftermarket is so much that I'm going to get an OEM. They look the same on the outside but I found that the aftermarket one caught the air coming around it and vibrated bad. At 80MPH I could hardly see out of it. It was also noisier as the housing molding doesn't cup around inside like the OEM so it was much noisier. I don't know if the tow mirrors are as bad but this one is so bad I'm replacing it.
I am definitely concerned about quality. I have seen many folks on here talking about the towing mirrors which is(are) the mirror(s) I need to replace.
Anybody have thoughts/experience on aftermarket towing mirrors?
I bought a pair of towing mirrors on E-bay, no issues with vibration or wind noise but I have not had it up to 80 mph, only 65 mph. the seller is mojoparts_iam
