A vacuum leak could...whether it is from the CAI or the throttle body spacer is unclear (BTW...the throttle body spacer isn't doing anything for your truck performance wise...it is making your wallet lighter).
the elbow on the rear of the throttle body housing for the PCV can deteriate and giving vacuum leak. vacuum leaks can be had most anywhere.
what have you done so far to correct this...& how long have you had this condition?
I havnt done anything yet to the truck it has had it for the past 3000 miles which have been accumulated over the past year. I know if its running lean im asking for trouble down the road. the truck only has 50000 on it thats why I dont understand why I would have a vacum leak.
Respectfully, are you kidding that you don't think there could/should be a leak on an 8 year old vehichle!
If the computer tells you by codes the results of excessive air after the air meter that is 'unaccounted for', you have to go with it as the truth.
Good luck.
above the drivers valve cover ( 2/3 of the way back from front) there are two vacuum hoses close to the exhaust manifold. like 3/16 or 1/4 ID... They get old and crack fro the heat. Swell and break at one end.. you might pull them off and check- replace.
spray either around the vaccum lines and see if it revs up mind you im not much of a gas guru but a guy I work with said to try that if you cant find it so i did and nothing
Ether or brake parts cleaner work great for finding a vacuum leak....just spray around the vacuum lines or fittings and when you hit the "spot" the idle will ramp up a little. That will tell you the area your leak is in. I hate dealing with vacuum leaks cause some of them are really difficult to find
