isnt it enough already??
this time i swear it is strep thoat. doctor says no. i cant even swallow water at some points. im taking 7-8 hour naps. i dont even sleep 7-8 hours at night!
so i said enough is enough... last friday i went to the doc they gave me a throat culture, came up negative for strep throat. $ 62.00 later and no explanation i worked the next day and came home sicker than before.
so today ( monday ) i woke up and drove myself to the ER.
i apparently have a pretty common virus- i guess kids and young adults get it A...LOT... it starts as canker sores (not cancer) and likes to spread down the throat. so being a virus nothing can be done except pain medicine.
to make it worse, ive been lifting weights for a few months now, feeling pretty good, looking good, putting on desired weight.
last monday i weighed 184... today i am 170......
my goal weight was to be back around 190-200... once this goes away i have A ...LOT of weight to put on.... i just cant get a break
I changed your spelling.
I use a product called Amosan.
I use the powders form in a small amount of warm water to rinse my mouth.
It usually gets rid of them in about 10 days.
yeah id believe they may come from stress... since i go through ALOT of stress everyday

I take a bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide, dump half of it out, and fill it with water. Then I gargle with it 3 times a day, and after I gargle I rinse my mouth with cold water until the taste is gone. Then I eat a pickle. The vinegar is good for keeping them clean...
I've been dealing with this for 10 years now, it's terrible. I am sorry you have to deal with it, too.
Just keep them clean and blow your nose alot so it doesn't drain into your throat and irritate them. Also, avoid spicy or acidic foods, and sugary foods, and rinse your mouth with cold water after you eat anything.
And as for the stress factor, studies have shown that any skin or membrane virus is amplified or activated by stress. Herpes, warts, and canker sores are the best examples of this. Taking B-complex vitamins helps with this, so you might try that as well.
Those are the ways I deal with it, good luck and feel better!!

There are only a few FDA approved topical anesthetics. By far, the most common is benzocaine, in various combinations.
Benzocaine is a short acting anesthetic, found in:
Anbesol
Ora-Jel
Numzit
Lidocaine is a little longer acting and can be found in:
Zilactin-L (note the L, plain Zilactin is not the same)
For canker sores perhaps the best product available is Orabase Gel. (15% benzocaine). The unique base is sticky and adheres to mucous membrane better than the other products. The longer the adherence, the more prolonged the anesthetic effect. The obtain the maximum result (for any product), dry off the ulceration (yes, it hurts) by placing a Q-tip on the ulceration to draw off as much surface fluid as possible. Apply the Orabase quickly before the ulceration becomes moist.
There are many various forms of all these products, so you have to read the label carefully to be sure you know what you are getting. There are also many sound-alike, imitation products available.
