1941 ford truck differences

1941 ford truck differences
Posted a thread a few weeks ago about a 41 truck I was looking at pulling out of feild here is the link to that thread https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ying-year.html
Anyway I was told this is a 41 but there are a couple things like the grill and the gas tank that don't look like that year.
My ford has the gas tank on the cab but I see a ton with the gas tank behind the driver side back tire in the fender. So my question is would there be a book or guide that tells you what year they changed things on the body or engine or something. I'm really interested in that. Other today or I'm going to pull the truck home and get the serial number off of it to see what it is for sure. Thanks for the help guys. Awesome forum here!
