well 11,500 miles and 6 trips to the dealer,36 days total and still not fixed.
Have a vibration between 40 to 45: new tires 16, 8 wheels, driveshaft, rotors f&r, diff inspection, true and road force tires 2 times.
Ford says there done with it! Any ideas folks?
Have all of your trips to the dealer been to the same dealer? If so, sounds like you need to try a different dealer. Is it Ford that says they're done with the truck or is it the dealer that's saying that?
I am guessing this is more of a whole truck type up and down type vibration opposed to say a front-end type of vibration? If so get used to it, most all of them do it and typically always occur at these same speeds. Do a test and load the bed with some weight say 300-500lbs and let us know if it still does it or has been minimized. This is typically blamed on so called frame resonance and can happen to all large trucks not only Fords. Do not let others confuse you that this is the death wobble. They have no real relationship with each other.
Also if it's an alignment type vibration take it to a proffesional alignment shop. If the alignment is good they should only charge you about a $20 set-up fee. Not all dealers have the best equipment or quality techs to run and set them up.
Well its Ford thats is saying there done with this problem not the dealer. Its also be aligned 2 times. The service manager has been great in keeping me informed on whats being done, but still not fixed.
I have tried 4 to 5 hundred pounds in the back, tailgate up and down, tow haul mode, manual to 5th gear, cruise. Just out of ideas so I sent 7 registered letters out for lemon law after our conversation on friday with
"were done fixing this problem, it's a natural characturistic of the F250".
