Line-X is the real stuff. The apply it yourself stuff is a very poor substitute. I also suggest having them bring the liner up on top of the bed rails. My father's GMC is done up like that and it's nice.

well i kind of like the hard plastic on top of my bed rails, i want it to stay there. i dont believe it has to come out with the drop in liner

Right but for those who don't have the hard plastic it's a nice addition.

oh, then yeah that would be nice. do the hard plastic pieces come as part of the drop in package liner? your truck didnt have them did they?

my bad, the post i wrote confused me as well. guess i should proofread before posting lol.
what i meant was ; dont get scared of the price of the line-x
i figured the herculiner would be the "same thing" for 1/4 of the $ and a bit of my time on a saturday. i was wrong, and now try to let everyone else learn from my mistake

ah, ok. yeah i think i am going to do that maybe this coming spring. i just lifted up my drop in liner as much as i could (came up like 2 feet) and it still looks blue under there so i should be good for a while

I had them. They came from the factory. Drop in liners are the silliest things going.

I herculined my trucks cab floor! I think I used two cans haha

my bed "looked good". the liner cured for about 3-4 weeks before i loaded anything in the back. then upon removal of loaded goods, flakes of the liner started coming off a little at a time
