hey guys we are new to both this forum and to the f100 world we are an all ford family and we recently became the proud owners of a 71 f100. its in great shape and belonged to my wifes grandfather. i have a question im sure you all could answer. the truck came with the original 360 fe motor but someone pulled the engine disassembled it and it sat for a while. im planning on installing a 351w what all will i need. will 302 motor mounts and moving the frame brackets work and will i need to move the cross member to install an aod out of an 89 mustang 5.0. any and all help would be appreciated.

I pulled a 360/c6 out of my '71 and dropped in a 302/AOD. Just had to move the tranny crossmember back maybe an inch or two. the engine perches (towers?) work fine with the small block motor mounts. Just drops in.
