warped rotors
i have 18,ooo miles on my 2002 f350 psd and the front end hopps under braking. i called the dealer and they said that it must be in the tires. ive rotated them at 10,ooo miles. is it the rotors or the tires? i see the group purchases has rotor kits, are these trucks prone to warped rotors? is it a warrenty issue?

From your discription the rotors could be checked but I think that I would investigate the tires and front shocks. Usually the rotors will cause more of a vibration or shudder under braking. The hopping would be cause by tires or blown shocks. I haven't experienced this on My F350 but I did on another brand of truck. Mine truned out to be the left front tire. I had broken a couple of the belts and it was causing the tire to hop. I replaced the tire and the hopping stopped.
It just my take on it. Good luck. I haven't heard of the SD's having the same problem as the Dodges, They do have a problem with the brakes themselves. But then again thats a dodggeee. Yuk bad taste

warped rotors
its not that uncommon for the SD rotors to warp, especially if you tow. It is very cheap to have them turned to bring them back to place, i had my rotors turned and back pads replaced for under 300 bucks
