Hey guys. I'm new to the forum and have some questions. I'm a jeep person so the pickup stuff is new to me
I have a 2003 F-250 Superduty that I am going to put a 4 inch Zone lift on. I want to put on 315/75/16 Duratracs on 16x8 wheels. Now the "recommended" backspacing for that combination is supposed to be 4 inches. I seem to be able to find the wheels that I want all in 4.5". I've talked to a few 4x4 shops and tire shops. I've had a few say that 4.5 will definitely rub; some say that either will work; one guy said that both will rub; one said that neither will rub. My question to you guys is if I can get away with that tire/wheel combo and NOT have rubbing issues?
What do you all run or what would you suggest? Thanks!
i have 35" toyos with 20" wheels and i barley rub! i mean its slight. i think you will get away with it just fine. it might rub a tad but its not that big of a deal
Remember...Cassafras has an '03, which has leaf springs up front. Your '06's have coils. The issue with these wheels is going to be rubbing on the leaf springs @ full lock, not so much of rubbing on the fender.
Exactly. Thanks. I called a guy I know from Pro-Comp. He said that they sell 16x8s with a 4.5 inch backspacing all the time for this application. So I guess I'm gonna do it and cross my fingers its not too bad. Thanks for the help guys. If you guys need any help with jeeps let me know haha Its the only thing I know at this point.
Check out liftedbrick.com if you guys get around to it. Relatively new forum that I'm on. We could use some Ford guys over there. Thanks for the wheel help. I'll post up and let you know how I make out. lol
