Ok I am buying the Toyo 35 x 12.50 x 18's tomorrow, the wheels are the question. I called Discount tire to buy the MB Gunner 8 wheels and I told them I needed 4.5 or 4 5/8 backspacing. They were like uh....well this 18" x 10" wide wheel has -25mm offset. They said yes it will work with a lifted Ex......??? I need some help here guys, I am going up 4.5" using the Donahoe kit with 35" tires. What the heck offset should I use in millimeters, positive or negative? Is backspacing the same as offset...... I just want to buy the right freakin wheel!! Anyway if you could help all of those who have lifted their Ex's that would be great!!
P.S. If you are not 100% sure of the advice you are giving me let me know please, since I am buying these wheels based on info from this FTE forum!
Thanks again in advance!!

Assuming the 10inch wide wheel has a 5inch centerline we have this
Backspacing - 5 = -1 (25.4 mm per inch, rounded)
Backspacing=4
There was an assumption in there as not all 10 inch wide wheels are 10 inches wide, but it shows that you more than likely do not have what you need. My new wheels had 4.5 of backspacing and -12mm offset and I would like a little more as I can still get the tires to rub at full lock. If a tire store cannot answer your questions, ask for another person or go elsewhere. All wheels I have purchased had backspacing and offset on the box, it is not a protected number.
If I were you, I would call back looking for more info, to much unknown to purchase unless you can go there and have them put on without cost and their mistake costs them, not you. Online purchase, nope.
I've been looking at lift kits for my Ex and have found the kit manufactuers very knowledgable in telling me how big a tire I can use and what rims I would need to compliment their kit. Maybe phone Donahoe ?
