When I pulled up today I noticed there was leak under the EX after taking a quick look at it.
The leak is Coolent comming from the trans area I am thinking it for the rear HVAC system the heater tubes look like the go over or next to the trans but they look like hard lines are there rubber hoses up there I not seeing.
And Heads up what is this normal it has 130000 miles on it I sure hope it not a freeze plug.
Has any one else out there pulled these line out to repair them and is going to a pain to do.
I looked under the EX once again to get a better look at stuff the hose and hard lines seem fine What I can see the freeze plug look good the heater hose going in the fire wall no leaks.
The motor is dry I checked the Valley between the heads it dry.
The starter is wet not bad the major leak is at the trans right hand side just in front of the Trans cross member thats where it dripping at.
The Bell housing where it meets the trans is wet also.
Head gasket leak or possibly 1 of the coolant lines behond the engine, or even a core plug at the back of the cylinder head at the intake manifold. All are nearly impossible to see and diagnose. Use a flash light and a mechanic's mirror and you might be able to see back there. It could also be a heater hose or connection at the footwell/cowl.
Are you certain it is coolant?

You will probably have to go under the truck while it is idling at full operating temperature and look for the leak or at least get a better idea of where it is coming from.
After work I got to pull the hard line that runs though the valley out the rear nuts and studs kinda of a pain but they are out.
I put some air pressure on it to see where there leakng at so far no leaks I have some water in them now hanging and see if they leak it could be just the intake gasket after all and it's spraying on to the rear of the motor and the hard line.
Starting to put back together I only can work it a hour or two after I get home from work before it starts getting dark outside thats when I call it quits for the night.
It should be ready to fire back up tomarrow or the next day.
Besides I like letting the RTV set up at least 24 hours before I add fluids to the motor.
I been driving my Corvette it my toy so I dont mind taking my time putting thing back together not in a hurry.
Beside the Vett is Fast handles well the Ex is slow and handles like a SUV.
The Vett get 28 MPg with 435 H/P and 500 T/Q Thats why I in know hurry but need the Ex by the weekend it our family car.
Been there when it's your only car and it has to be running to go to work in the next day.
Working at night with a flash light and by feel and when you think your almost done you find out you nbeed anouther part gasket and the parts store either dont have it or they already closed for the night LOL been thee done that.

Good for you! I'm sure you will keep a close eye on it for a while just to make sure.
These new cars and trucks are a pain in the A**. I used to complain about my big block 'Stangs and Comets, but now I wish I still had either of them when I have to do any work on my vehicles. I do try to not use too many profanities when I'm forced to be under the hood or the vehicle.
It was not that bad it looked like a pain but it was fairly easy.
The hardest part is to remember which vacume line went where but thats my own fault.
I just put all the nut and bolts in my magnetic tray and parts on top of my tool box never mark any thing My wife ask me how can you tear into thing and put things back toghter with out marking any thing, some times it stays a part for a while.
I done this my whole life it always works out for me.
I wish my Vett was that easy to work on.

I thought it was fixed Bt it not after getting back up and running it started running ruff.
So I replaced all the col packs after reding they know to go bad.
When I pulled the aft right hand side Coil out the base of it was Wet.
At the same time I noticed thew Heater tub next to it looked wet so I cut the end of thehose and installed a new hose clamp.
Fired it back up after running 15/20 minute the ruff running started up again.
So this weekend I pull it back apart I hope It not bad intake maifold.
This Ford starting to get me mad if keeps on giving problems it just mite get traded in for a New car.
