Here's the basics. I have a 76' f150 with 390 2wd. It has starter relay less than 2 months old. A powermaster high torque starter and an MSD Ign and coil.
I went to connect the negative battery cable and it sparked a little nothing unusual. Got the cable seated on the post and did not tighten it down; was just starting it for a test run to see if the header gasket I replaced was good or not. But anyways when I tuned it over it acted like the battery was real weak; turning over real slow. So I hooked up the battery charger and tightened down the cable.
Tried to start again only this time I only get a click coming from the starter relay. The first thing I check are the fuses. the one that reads ENG SOL. under the dash was blown so I replaced but still only get the same click when I turn over the Ignition.
So where should I look next the only thing I can think of is the starter since I believe power runs from the Battery to relay to starter. Or is their something I am missing.
I am not the brightest when it comes to electrical so any help is much appreciated.

Correct. Verify battery, all cable connections are good, especially the ground wire from battery to block. Jumping across the large terminals of solenoid briefly will eliminate a bad solenoid relay. Does concern me that fuse blew. Relay click is a good sign. You can eliminate circuit to ignition switch by jumpering pos batt to "S" term of solenoid relay. It's very possible you disturbed the ground wire when replacing header gasket. Check it out and report back.
Well I went back checked all wires and tried bypassing the starter relay and it still would not turn over. Pulled the header from the passenger side and removed the starter and took it to the local parts house and they said the starter was fried.
Anybody know about Powermaster starteror where to locate parts? Like what part of the starter could be the problem; the thing wont even try to engage. I would hate to trash a $200 starter.
See if you can find a local shop that rebuilds alternators etc. Get a price, and then you can make up your mind if it's worth it. Could be easy, could be serious, I used to work on them a bit.
