I think it's a matter of preference. IMHO FE's are boat anchors, paper weights... but that's my opinion. There are plenty here who appear to love them.

Hauled off 4 full size truck axles about some 3000 plus pounds and got some rims and tires out of the deal as well












Earlier today old splittys and pizza cutter tires

Sweet...nice score on the wheels/tires. I'm running 265X75X16 tires on my 69 F250...closest thing I would find to the stock size...235X85X16 is also pretty close. Rides like a dream on the highway and mpg's are okay for a 5,500 lb. beast. Are you gonna finish and leave it flat black or go with another color?

once i have money ill take care of the rust and flat black the rest get some chrome bumpers and who knows what else

the other 2 are in my friends truck and only one needs a tire they are nice aluminum rims, im happy will do alot for looks once all 4 are on it

They are 265 something, think 265/75/16

Im happy just to lose the split rims and dry rotted bias ply tube tires.but these have good rubber too

Looking at your pics reminded me of something I just despise about old trucks. They usually have lived so long and so many owners they also have so many holes in the doors from mirrors. Mine are no different. I have two sets of mirror holes to weld shut. Good to see you got the split rims off. Do you have 2 more of the rears? I kinda like the way they look.

LOL my doors looked like someone shot them with shot gun , seriously 12 holes per door .

I have 2 more one needs a tire i think or its just flat and the bead is off the rim. I might get em tonight if my friend brings his truck home
