I need some opinions. I had my door hinges at a body shop near my work and they where going to do me a favor and paint them for me. Long story short they lost or tossed my hinges and paint supplies.
They have offered to replace them.
Are the LMC hinges any good? or should I get some used ones and get rebuild kits (new pins?) for them?
I have heard that the LMC hinges don't come with the detent s-spring. I'm not sure if this is true or not, but personally I don't trust much of LMC's products anymore because the majority of them are made in China of low quality materials. You may score a set of barely worn hinges at the junk-yard that don't even need rebuilding.
Dorman Products sells good hinge rebuild kits with pins and bronze bushings - your local auto parts supplier can probably order them for you if they don't have them in stock.
