2006 "check trailer" warning
When pulling my 14 ft flatbed this warning sometimes pops up on the dash.I check the trailer and nothing seems wrong (lights,bearings,etc)What does this warning mean and what should I do?Thanks for any advice.

If it comes and goes intermittently, it is probably a problem at the plug on the bumper. The brake controller checks the circuit for continuity at regular intervals, and if it is a poor connection in the plug it will sense the high resistance. It can also be a bad ground somewhere on the trailer. But for me, the brakes still seemed to work fine, but I changed the plug on the trailer and the problem was solved.
