So saturday evening I attended a sporting event at a local lounge, partaked in some festivities.
Come end of evening made a innappropriate assumtion that I was ok to drive and happend to get pulled over in a random stop.
Was honest, mentioned that I had beer at the lounge, was asked to do a breathalyzer and blew over
So now I have a 90 suspension on my license, and court end of the month, which manadatory minimum sentance is 1000 fine and 1 years loss of license!!!
Please everyone, if you ever get in the same situation and feel you may be ok to drive, its not worth the risk.
Now I have a nice newer 08 F250 Diesel and newly finshed 65 mustang that I cannot enjoy anymore, and even next summer will be unable to race at SIR
It happens, don't beat yourself about it. Knock on wood I never been caught or hurt anyone.
Yeah I have no one to blame but myself , and I know I should have taken it more seriously.
So to try and deal with the situation the only way I know how, modify my vehicles!!
The F250 is getting alot of work, since I can't drive it might as well build it.
Performance wise - built SunCoast transmission and converter, Full EGR delete with CFM intake elbow, AirDog II LPFP.
Looks wise - Lower 2"-3", color match bumpers, rims and tires.
I'm going to have to find pilots for test runs in the truck and car when I finish mods, any volunteers?
It happens man, I got a dui when I was 18ish as well. Different situation, and its actually quite the story I will share sometime over beers!
Sucks though John, do the time, and those rides will be even sweeter when ya get that license back.
On a side note, there are lawyers that are "known" to be very "good" (or bad, depending how ya look at it) at getting guys off the hook. I hear they are very expensive though. Thats as far as Ill go into it, getting into it anymore would be crossing over into the no-no legal talk on FTE.
I know a guy who got a DUI after they caught him four wheeling on a golf course. He hired a lawyer found a loophole couple weeks lawyer driving semi again. As the saying goes nothing 10,000 can't fix. (they towed his pickup without his okay) charges dropped
