Question Front Driveshaft Question

I found a front drive shaft locally for sale that suposededly only has a few thousand miles on it and was made by a local drive line company for our trucks.
My question is: are all front driveshafts for our trucks the same? I have a Dana 60 but are the shafts from F250s the same?

No two versions pending transfercase as far as I know. The F350 has a double cardigan (sp?) joint at the T case end. I don't think the F250 has this just straight u joints, also check lengths as the auto and manual trannies different lengths, with former (auto) being longer. Therefor auto tranny front d shafts are longer then the manuals iirc.

You are right on the double cardan joint. The seller says the shaft he has is 36.250" end to end collapsed and mine on the truck is less than that so based on that alone it won't work. It does not have the cardan end. The reason I was starting to look is that both my drive shafts have a good amount of scaly rust on them. Is that a concern or not? Are our drive shafts pretty strong?
