Hey Guys i got a problem that has been around since i got the truck but now it just aggrivates me. theres a flat spot in my throttle right from idle to about quarter throttle the truck just sputters and skips and then picks up rpm. its really aggrivating trying to pull out of a parking spot on a hill and stalling it everytime or puttin it to the floor... any help appreciated
Mine does this intermittently, but only in first gear. If I take off in 2nd it never does it. Maybe I'm using enough throttle to get past the problem when I use the taller gear? Pretty much every sensor that matters on my truck is new; TPS, MAP, PIP, module, IAC, EGR sensor (though not used anymore) and a truck load of other stuff has been changed. Still does it. Bogs/hesitates for a second then comes roaring back to life. The only thing I havn't replaced is the CTS which could be making it run lean or rich and causing a stumble. I should probably replace that part for good measure, it's only 13 years old.
CTS=coolant temp sensor. Usually as they go bad they send a temp that is colder and colder, which causes a rich mixture. If the truck loads up at idle, then the fuel is sucked into the cylinders when you start moving it would cause a hesitation much like having too much accelerator pump.
