Why did he have to take the head off after breaking a plug? What kind of plugs did the tech put in the motor?

This seems to me that the tech did something else while working on the plugs or I am missing something.

They were motocraft plugs And he had to take the head off becouse When he installed the helicoil he still had a miss fire code on that number 7 plug so he took off the head and took it to machine shop at the shop we fine out that the plug hole is miss alined and the truck has always had a spiting sound come to fine out that this is most likely why the plug snaped off so the cost to fix this head to geting one at bone yard is why the head was changed ...

sounds like a coil problem. im having the same problem and i was told that a weak coil has a hard time firing at low rpm's because of the lean mixture. There are a couple of threads around here about it. im just having a hard time locating what coil it the weak one. Since it is 200 dollars for a whole set.

I have a similar issue. Had plugs changed and now #2 cylinder is misfiring badly. I know he broke a couple plugs but that is par for the course on the 2005's. The plugs are three part plugs and they break off easily. But I am being told I need a new engine! I checked all new pligs and they are in good shape. Also swapped around the COP's with no change.

Gotta find someone good in St. Augustine, Florida that can fix it.
