So, 1988 Aerostar (xlt I think...the badge is gone)
I got it running with ANOTHER (that makes 4) fuel pump and got the lights working (someone took the parking light fuse out, and I wasn't aware of it!).
Had to pull the transmission. The front pump seal was leaking. I replaced it, and so far no leaks.
It has the digital gauge cluster (and the trip computer
).
I filled it up the other day for the first time since I got it running, and by fill it, I mean pump gas until the nozzle shut off, and the fuel gauge read "CO" and the top 2 and bottom 2 notches were lit. What does that mean? The dte on the trip computer went UP after driving it, and after a little while the co went away, and it just said "F" (I know what that is, lol...it means I can drive fast, right?)
Stilla little work to do. The power steering pressure hose leaks, and I still need bumpers (lol makes the van look raggedy).
