'91 Ranger steering wheel compatibility

My original steering wheel has recently developed the "black goop syndrome". On a hot day, this black stuff oozes out of the leather cover and gets on my hands. I spied quite a few steering wheels at the local salvage yard, but didn't have my steering wheel puller on hand. So, I'll be making another trip. Although the yard will let me return the steering wheel if it doesn't fit, I don't get my money back, just store credit. I'd rather not have the credit, so I'd like to get it right the first time.

Does anyone know what years and other models are compatible? I assume Rangers and Explorers (and probably Navajos) interchange, just not sure of the years that are common. How about F150 or Bronco?

I replaced the steering wheel on my 91 Ranger with one from a 94 Explorer. My parts catalog indicates that any wheel from 89 to 92 Ranger, Explorer or Mazda should fit.
