Good Bye

I sold my 02 7.3 about an hour ago, the body was starting to rust and decided it was time to move on. I did enjoy this GREAT truck

I will be picking uo a f150 FX4 w/ ecoboost tommorow

My truck history makes no sense as I went from the Ford 300 inline six to a 7.3 diesel, now back to a V6

So far I have been impresses with the Ecoboost. Great option if you don't need a Super Duty. At least you will still have a direct injected turbo charged engine that hauls.

If I were to buy an F-150, which I'm not, but if I were I would go with the 5.0 V8 over the Eco-Boost. I think the Eco-Boost should stay in the Taurus.

How close have you looked at the ecoboost? They kick the V8's butt. KEM has some wicked tuning for it. you would be impressed.

If I was gonna go small i'd rock the ecoboost

I want a 500 ci V8 that gets 8 mpg with no emissions on it. <- That could make 120 hp vs the Eco Boost 350hp and I would be fine with it. I want simple. I'll stick with a traditional V-8 in a truck, or maybe an old I-6.

From Demolition Man: "I'm the kind of guy who likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecued ribs with the side order of gravy fries?" I WANT high cholesterol. I wanna eat bacon and butter and BUCKETS of cheese, okay? I want to smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section. I want to run through the streets naked with green Jell-o all over my body reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly might feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiener".

KEMPerformance.com

They do custom tuning on everything ford. Nick (weekendwarrior) and I both run Mike's tunes.

They are a great group of guys. Super nice and very, very smart.

The Japanese auto enthusiasts have been playing with turbos for 30 years. America was sure to catch on sooner or later.

The main reason I was shopping at all was the F250 was rusting, I considered repairing, but here in the salty winters I felt I would be throwing good money away.

I researched the whole Ford lineup including diesel's, I felt given my needs the eco would do everything I need, also the cost to maintain the diesel was annoying.

I own a 1987 turbo coupe, purchased new, stored winters with 104,000 miles, I've never touched the engine/turbo,along with the turbo on 7.3, so I really don't consider owning a turbo an issue

I signed today, truck will get paint-rust-soundproof-interior protection package Monday, I will pick it up Tuesday night

Jc I was running turbocharged 2.3 litre ford powered sand rails in the 70's when a Toyota didn't last through it's warranty! Chevrolet offered the Corvair with a turbo option in the early 60's, Boeing installed turbocharged Wright Cyclone engines on the B-29 in 1944 ^so don't tell us the Japanese enthusiasts were the first to use them that's Bravo Sierra!
