Question little coil

What is the little coil or capcitor by the ignition coil. it has 1 wire going to it and mine is broken of. Bronco still started. Just whated to know what's up

It is a condensor type noise supressor to keep noise out of the stereo. It's not needed, but it's better to repace it if broken.

Condenser = Capacitor = high frequency filter. It removes ignition noise from the electrical system that might interfere with the radio. If you hear a whine that correlates to the engine speed, get a new one. If you can't hear anything, forget it.
