White smoke....HELP

Greatings, 2K F350 7.3 PSD and so on. Just had numbers 1 and 3 injectors replaced this year, new fuel filter this year, new glow plugs this year + solinoid. Truck gets to WOT, driving at 1500 rpm and looses power and shuts down. Hard to start afterwards with white smoke. Finally got it to the shop after driving 35mph and blowing white smoke and red lined. Been at the shop for more than a month. Mech said he doesn't want to tear it down without knowing whats wrong $$. Takeing it to Ford next week for diagnostic test for $90/hr. Any ideas what it could be?
Had trouble codes for Cam pos. sens. and EBP sens.
One more thing, when injectors where replaced, no o-rings on previous injectors.....any thoughts? Same mech. and I trust him.

You need specialized software to pull codes from a PSD. A standard code reader will show no codes. A diesel shop or diesel mechanic should have the correct software to pull the codes.

So, taking it to Ford is inevitable?
Should I try driving it less than 10 miles to Ford, or have it towed?

If you have to redline it to go 35, I would tow it. At least get Ford to diagnose it and take it to your mechanic to fix. Might be cheaper that way. I do know that for diesels, the diagnosis fee is double that of a gasser, so be prepared to spend at least $170 for that.

Keep us posted as to what the dealer finds and what it ends up costing you to have repaired.

Was told for my 7.3 it would be 90/hr. I guess I'll post again in a week, do you think I can fit a crew cab short bed on a car hauler? Length wise?

redline at 35mph, sounds to me, a trans/shifting issue. Can not remember what blue, white, black smoke means, but "search" and you'll find it

The labor rate is generally the same, but they charge 2 hours of labor for diesel diagnosis. As far as length, how long is the car hauler? Your truck is the second longest configuration. I would just call a tow company and tell them what you have and let them bring the right truck.

I had white smoke just before or during a hpop hose go.Check oil level as well when it gets low itll cause hard starts and white smoke. But my best guess is an oil pressure issue . Keep us updated .

I don't like the redline at 35mph either, but you could have restricted fuel pressure, possibly clogged screens in the tank. Have your mechanic check fuel pressure at the bowl.
