Could blue spring have improved boost?
(Edit:: has arp studs and egr delete)
I have an Edge Insight CTS and the highest stored boost value was 21 until today.
Last couple of weeks I upgraded to the blue spring and replaced all the o-rings and the face plate.
Today I drove it on the highway for work and really opened it up. Boy it takes off now, most noticeable flooring it and going from 55mph up to 70+ ... like when passing. And when I stomp on it around 70mph and it drops a gear I love it!!!
So I checked the boost recorded value and it shows 25. I then put boost back as one of the values displayed and sure enough ... I can get it up to 22, 23, 24.
Did the spring upgrade do this?
The full list of stuff I did as well as the spring is:
Replaced the fuel filters and drained the fuel/water seperator .. usual schedule and International filters.
New oil and filter - switched to 5w-40 in prep for winter coming.
I removed and tested both batteries.
To clean the engine I also removed both battery trays, air filter, the FICM and bracket, degas bottle, both CAC tubes, fan shroud and grille.
After protecting the harness ends, pcm and alternator, etc I then sprayed the engine with degreaser and water. I cleaned the radiator. I cleaned the removed parts and battery terminals then reinstalled everything, with terminal protectant on the batteries.
New leaf springs and shocks on the rear, left and right.
4 new brake calipers, brackets, rotors and pads.
New brake fluid. Power steering flush and new magnafine filter.
(Also took a claybar and polish to the whole truck
)FICM always showed 47 - 48.5 on start or when running ... and it still does. I do not have a fuel pressure gauge and all injectors are original.
So why the increase? Any ideas? I hope it's a good thing.

The more exhaust gas the Harder the turbo can spin
It also could be a high pressure day where ur at
what kinda boost gauge do you have does it come from Edge
I was figuring it must be related but didn't think it was that simple.
I jumped to the conclusion that this must be more involved. It is a 6.0 after all

If it isn't weather related, was my 21 boost a low value and 25 puts me back at typical ... or is 21 ok and 25 is now really good?

I am still on original injectors so maybe it wasn't that bad?
21Psi is Low Good
25Psi is Average Better
And IIRC maybe 28 psi and diffinatly 30+ psi is overboost
Your Boost numbers are just fine
Boost when caculated thru obdII is a calculation from the Map sensor
Map & Baro & Ebp should be the same at KOEO to verify your gauges and the sensors
I'm going to drive it and enjoy it!!

p.s. I recommend the clay bar process to all. It's like a new truck off the lot. Run your hand across the surface and it's like clean glass or tile. Well worth the effort.

She has a little funny stance at the rear cause she's on a bank and the bed is full of debris from a jobsite.

Heh, heh! With all of those things you did, I am sure your truck is showing its appreciation for your diligence!

I will be doing the Blue Spring upgrade and a coolant filter here, very soon. Good luck!
