Hey guys thanks for the support. I found out what exactly we have to do at least here in Wisconsin. I need to get a surety bond. What this is is a bond i need for 5 years in case someone claims my truck is theres. Its kind of confussing but I understand it now. It will cost me 100.00 bucks and it is a one time fee. The dmv deterimed my truck to be worth 1000.00 and then its one and a half times the cost. so its 1500.00 anyways I dont have to pay the 1500.00 bucks like i thought last week. so on with my project .
Most independant agents can write these, they are called title surety bonds, I have had to do this twice on vehicles without titles.
in texas you have to get a bonded title, and some insurance company needs to write the policy in case the original owner were to show up claiming the vehicle. http://www.txdmv.gov/vehicles/titles/bonded.htm
you still need a bill of sale.
there are companies that will (for a fee) process the paperwork, contact DMV, get the bond..
for a trailer.. the bonding process company was $100, the bond policy was $200, the registration was $125.
here is the faq from the company I used http://www.lawrenceautotitle.com/continue.htm
Thanks for all the responses . This site is very informative. I went with a bond company called bondexpress.com they are out of new york. Also I have the bill of sale. Thanks now I can see if my 56 f-250 will turn over this weekend. I took the plugs out and squirted in marvel oil in the cylinders. So if if turns over I will move forward in trying to get it running b4 snow flys,
