Taking out a 400

I am going to be pulling a 400 from my F250. I am trying to find out if I can pull it with the tranny or if I need to pull them individually? Also for those that have done this do you have any tips, or ticks I should use or things to look out for??

I just pulled the motor out of my 79 Bronco. Unless you are pulling the front clip off, I don't think you can get the motor/trans out together. Other than that, it was pretty straight forward. I had never pulled a motor before, and it took my less than an hour...

Just make sure you get every tranny housing bolt, i made the mistake of not cleaning the twenty plus years of grease off the motor and it became a headache.

I managed to squeze the 400 out of my 78 f150 4x4 with the c6 still attatched. Just had to remove the radiator first. oh and it did have to come out at a really steep angle.
