Plastic center broke on one of my 4wd hubs.Ordered a set of Warn premium hubs.Installed with no problems.Truck is used for a little bit of plowing but not much and just general on road snow conditions.Passenger side started to not engage after turning to lock it.Initially could not see anything wrong when taken apart.Then found the toothed washer that rides up the threaded part that pushes the wave washer not in the right position.Hub always turned freely and was given a light wipe with grease when installed.Could not get the washer positioned properly to work so I called warn and they sent another pair.Changed out the u-joint on front axle shaft since there was no grease fitting and the bearing assemby.New hub started backing down the threads same as the previous one.The factory hub was good except from the cold breaking the plastic.Right now I am 4wd driveless because of this.Anybody ever have a similar problem ? Like I said the bearing assembly has been changed out and the u-joint after the first one crapped out but prior to the 2nd one.There does not seem to be anything worn or sloppy.And the hub turns smooth.
