This is good information. I wish I had it when I started checking my truck.

On mine, I went through all the normal testing and replacing, but it was definitely the HPOP. I replaced the IPR, ICP, injectors (because my son had a good set), LPOP, new O'rings throughout the oil system and fuel bowl. While it is rare, it does happen and did with me.

I am sure there is a post on how to clean that IPR but if I remember right one of the pieces was kinda tricky to get apart. Some small pieces also. Just a heads up.

What is Fuel lvl inp? Fuel level input? You may have a fuel issue rather than an oil issue.

Fuel level is not monitored by the PCM if I remember correctly, so no worries about the PID, however, I'm not sure if it was asked, do you get the WTS light and hear the fuel pump running with the Key on?

Question Alan. Do you actically put the pipe wrench on the threads? It looks like the tube unscrews from the threads.

I do not, and that write up was just for picture purposes, I remove it on the unthreaded portion personally with a stud remover on a ratchet.

Well i took the IPR out, it looked fine no pieces or goo. I took what i believe is the return lies off of the fuel bowl and nothing comes out when i crank. I Cant figure out where the feed lines even go in though. ON th my 95 they go in the front of the head and the returns come out the back. All i can find are the return lines on the pass side and the in and out on drivers side of fuel bowl. So my question is now where are the feed lines ?

Oldsmokey92, the outlet fuel lines to the heads are on the passenger side (2). The top outlet or return line is on top drivers side and the feed line is below that on drivers side. If you have know fuel out the passengers side the fuel pump isn't working or you are blocked in the bowl I would think. Open the drain line, turn the key on and see if it flows out the bottom, if not your fuel pump is most likely bad. It could also be blocked in the tank. You should be able to hear the pump running even if you have to get under the truck if its blocked. Good luck Chet

Well i took the filter out and turned key on and it immediatly began filling with fuel, i put my finger over the source and i could not stop the flow. So i guess i need to make sure i am getting fuel into the heads and also have sufficent oil pressure at heads. Is there a selenoid or something that lets fuel pass into the head? Or if the IPR is stuck could that be keeping the oil from getting out of hpop and into supply lines? I also did a buzz test and all injectors were audibly equal. Im not getting frustrated just getting more intersted in finding the problem. Thanks, Chad.
