Fuel Tank

i'm trying to drop a fuel tank on a 93 Ranger and I i have pulled 4 bolts from around the tank and it will not budge, am i missing something?

Did you remove the bad? I think most people say it's easier that way.

yeah i removed the bed and it worked out alot easier. New question. Will a 92 ranger fuel pump fit a 93 ranger?

I don't see why it wouldn't. Assuming both trucks had the same engine

well once i get both beds off the truck im gonna make sure, i just didnt want to pull two trucks apart and then end up having to buy another fuel pump. I just researched the price and its not too nice

You dont even really have to take the bed off! You can tilt it out of the way...

I hope to have a write up this week on how to do it, as I am putting in another new fuel pump, and will take pics and post info!

Sorry for not getting back so soon. The weather has been bad here and it delayed me back a week now. The fuel pump from the 92 Ranger does fit in the 93 Ranger but it is smaller than the 93 pump and doesn't reach the bottom of the tank. But the wiring harness does plug right in and the lines slip on without a problem. Maybe the whole removal and instalation of the pumps from both trucks was around 2 hours total including the time to take both beds off and putting them back on. I found it easier to take the beds off just so you can have lots of room to wotk with.
