Some spare parts came with my old 48 F-3 including three tool trays. Two of them have square ends. but one has rounded ends. Which is the correct one for my 48? Perhaps one goes with 48-50 and the other to 53-56? Does anybody know which year model the square ended and rounded ended tool trays go with.
I have also parted out quite a few '48-52s and they were mostly the rounded version except one '50 and one '51, they had the square ends. Itseems,I guess, the boxes were the same as the heaters in these old trucks, what ever they had they put in.
Both of my '51's have the flatend. Use the flatend it will match you '51 wiper assembly. Just a question why would it matter to have the correct one since you have changed the whole suspension?
My 48 has rounded ends. I have never seen a tool tray on a 48-50 with anything but rounded ends. I recently was looking for a solid fuel tank so I got up close and personal with alot of tool trays.
Well, that's a variety of answers! I don't think I know any more now than before I posted. I guess Henry just put whatever was left on the shelf in these old trucks. Guess I can use whichever I want. My truck will not be original, but I was curious as to which one was the 48 tray and planned to use that.
Well, in my little reigon I've seen only round ones in the '48-50, and square ones in the '51-52. That's the way I figured they were. The round edges look cooler anyway.
