The main issue was the EOT readings. Here are 3 that have been used so far.

SG said the last one was a fix to get the EOT gauge as accurate as they can.

The first one is the one I have been using since day one and it was the original on their website.

TXD: 07E0221310

RXF: 046205130610

RXD: 3010

MTH: 000901F4FFD8

NAM: EOT

The second one was an upgrade and included a decimal point on temps below 100* if I remember right.

TXD: 07E0221310

RXF: 046245130610

RXD: 3010

MTH: 00090005F05F

NAM: EOT

This third one is listed currently on their X-gauge website. This also has a decimal below 100*. And is supposed to be the most accurate.

I'm scared of seeing a spread like that when I get my Scanguage. Makes you wonder at how likely you could have blown the motor, or at the very least been stranded somewhere.

You guys have any links on backflushing the oil cooloer?

Well, here is a long thread, but interesting to read of one person's attempt. And others who have been trying to flush also. Long read, but, it has a lot of info you might need to know before starting.

yep, that was what got me started. He links to another even longer thread where a guy in Norway was doing this (I think that's where he was)
It's not a quick read, especially when being sidetracked by other threads that get linked in. And I read it all...

I have an 05 and currently use the latest and greatest PID for EOT, and still its 3 degrees different than ECT after an 8-10hr cold soak. That first one when entered in reads backwards ie: 8.67 instead of 67.8.

I just did the full blown coolant flush last weekend. Took me 2 full days. I flushed the dog out of it. Restore & Restore Plus for 2 hours each @ 65 MPH with cardboard covering the grille. Back flushed for like 6 hours, maybe more. Endless filtered hose hot water tank flushes & endless distilled water flushes. Fumoto valves in the block & installed the DieselSite coolant filter kit. Filled nice clean system with Rotella ELC. I had about a 30 degree difference, now I have a big 9. Thats unloaded @ 65 MPH reading taken after 20 minutes of driving on the expressway. Before & after off my Edge Insight. Thanks FTE!!!

and remember, even if this doesn't solve the problem, you still have to do it before you swap coolers.
