I have 00 with about 70 k on it. And unless I completely block off the radiator the temp guage is barely above the operating temp. It stays the same from 50 to 20 below. Do I have a bad thermostat? It heats up fast but does not warm up like my old 350. The other thing I have noticed is even after a short trip cold or hot the cat ticks really loud. So I was wondering if my engine is ruunning to cold and loading up the cat. I am not sure any help would be appreciated

The guages in our trucks are basicly fancy idiot lights. They won't move unless something drasticly chages. The noise from the exhaust is just the metal heating/cooling at different rates. Mine use to do it but has now stopped.
