Fire Trucks!!
I looked around and could not find a thread about this so I thought I would go ahead and post one. I would like to see everybody's pictures of Ford 73-79 Firetrucks (Although if they are not ford or not the right age I won't hurt you too much). Here are my contribuytions I found it sitting outside a volunteer fire department in South Carolina this summer. And to be perfectly honest if I had had the money I probably would have walked into the station and talked to the chief about taking it to a new home...
So here it is a 73-77 or 78 F350 mini pumper.

Here's mine. It is on the job at my place in NorCal.
Found it in Ohio sitting next to the road with a for sale sign in it. Had to have it as fires were raging in NorCal at the time. Called the number listed. It was the fire chiefs number.
Great guy. Bought it and drove it back to California. It runs great. All hoses and ladders with included.
The guys in the picture are the chief and his brother.

A 361 FT.
It'll run all day flat out (as long as flat out isn't above 4gs).
As a matter of fact it did run all day flat out for 3 days driving back across country at 52 mph.
We thought it would be fun to stop by Bonneville as our trip coincided with speed week.
We were definitely the slowest vehicle there.

Here's one from the Spring Valley VFD. This is a small volunteer fire department just East of Milpitas CA, about 15 miles from the old San Jose (Milpitas) Ford plant. Not many VFD left in this area but a few still exist in the outer edges of the Suburbs around here.
This Type 3 engine is still in use today although they painted it all white. I shot this first photo while covering this fire and the second photo is from thier website Spring Valley Volunteer Fire Department - Home Page
