My camper's A/C (87 E350) is leaking, and I assume it is due to bad o rings in the plumbing. One of my winter projects is to replace the o rings, but I honestly don't know how. I've searched for a step by step, but can't find one. Can anyone give me a quick down and dirty ?
Forgot to mention, it was converted to 134a several years ago, but apparently they didn't change the o rings.
I'd recommend that you get the springlock coupling disconnect tools from Harbor Freight..... I think I paid about six dollars for mine, and they work for disconnecting the spring lock couplings on fuel lines as well.....
Also, does anyone have the spec on how much r12 is supposed to be charged into the system by weight??
I want to fix this in the spring. I think there are only 2 of those spring lock connections (that's all I can see). The biggest problem I got is being able to vacuum out the system before recharging it. I might buy one of those cheap systems to do it, if I can't find somebody that already has one. The cheapest price I got for a shop to fix it is $500.
