I have a 1986 f-250... but theguy had no idea what size the engine is, it's stock I know that... and it's a 6 cylinder, which surprised me for being a 250 but yea... so if you know what size it could be would you let me know?
Actually, all emmisions stickers give the engine size in liters. Older trucks listed the engine family in cubic inches, and the engine size in liters on the valve cover sticker. As far as engine size vs. truck size, the 300-6 was designed for the F-600 COE, like the old Roadway trucks. They are strong, bulletproof engines. I have one in my F-250 4x4, and it is way better than the old 351w that came out.
all right cool, cause I've been looking for a new exhaust manifold.. forgive my ignorance, but I suck when it comes to cars. I can change the oil and filter, that's about it. I have another question... do the 80's models look a lot like the 70's cause the 86 looks almost identical to my friends 79.
80-86 look the same. Take a look at how the forums are divided up on the main part of this board. Also look how the engine forums are divided up. This will give you some reference as to what is similar in body style and engine family.
