Shop Time for ICP Replacement

Hi All -

I am trying to get an estimate of what a shop guide thinks a reasonable amount of labor to replace a 6.0 ICP sensor is ? I have the instructions but not a time guideline, to make sure I am not overpaying.

I have had codes read, and researched the symptoms that would lead me to believe that the sensor is what the problem is.

Truck starts hard and is starved for fuel shortly, surges and then once it gets running all runs fine, it has just started to get cold here and my understanding is when it is cold this gets worse.

I am having a new ICP sensor shipped in along with the pigtail to cover all bases.

I would normally just do this myself but I am traveling with the wife, a large horse trailer, stock, and a pack of dogs, with limited tools so to buy the tools and have to deal with this where I am is just not worth it.

Thanks !

What year is your truck? 03 is hours to do. 04-07 it just takes a few minutes.

Sadly it is an early 03 ICP on the back of the motor under the turbo.

Had one replaced years ago by a Ford dealer and the labor time was .8 of one hour, it's not hours.

The first time I replaced the ICP on my truck was a learning experience indeed. Unfortunately I have had to perform the procedure on my truck a couple of times and now have it down to about 45 minutes start to finish.
