Programming Remote?
Bought a 1999 F-250 Super Duty, it has power locks. The guy I bought it from gave me a remote for the locks, he said he lost the original and ford senthim another one for it but it was not programmed and he never took it to ford. I have tried the procedure it calls for turning the switch off and on 8 consecutive times within 10 seconds and leaving it in the on position. the locks never lock and unlock, I checked the fuse inder the hood location #26 and it is fine, also checked all the other fusesinside and out just to be sure and all are ok. Any ideas or hints as to what i ma doing wrong?

Daren12, Get yourself a 1999 owners manual and make sure it has the remote resetting chapter. If you don't find one, get a 2000 owners manual. It has a remote rest chapter in it. I had the same problem until I resorted to the 2000 owners manual. Good luck, John
