Does anyone make aftermarket trim for the 65-66 longbeds? Mine is a little wrinkled up on the passenger bedside. Is the trim the same for custom cabs vs regular trucks like mine? I tried to post a pic but as always, it was too much of a PITA so I gave up. It looks like it is aluminum trim, although I have been told it is actually stainless steel...
When I last looked, IIRC, you had to buy both sides. There is both a left and a right side. Someone might have sold them separately.
I think longbed trim is less expensive to buy, certainly if used.
They can be swapped, and often are, but each side has a sloped end so you really want the passenger side.
I may have an extra, since I bought a set only to get the driver's side. Depending where you are at, it may be cheaper to find locally, due to shipping cost.
I have a complete set all ten pieces for the 65-66 long bed. Minus the clips. This set was stripped of the anodizing then any and all dings were taken out. All pieces were polished to a brilliant shine. I had plans for these but I'm rethinking my plan. These may be for sale soon. I'll know when I make up my mind.
Sometimes creating a certain look takes time, as I only want to do it once. I'm speaking of the looks of my truck. Not sure if I want to put the trim on, or go with a different look.
You could also check ''Ebay''..I have bought a few items on there Before'' and you might
just find the passenger side as they sometimes sell by the piece?
Sounds like you put some effort in Shining up those pieces. Please provide some details on how you did it and what you used. I'm new at this and my efforts to shine it up had poor results.

I always get in trouble when I give advice, but for you I'm thinking fuzzy dice, wide whitewalls, stock wheels with them hubcaps that spin, **** carpeting and a steering wheel you don't get your cufflinks hooked in when you go to turn.

Have you seen the steering wheel in Robert's truck? I have (and...there's a pic of it in his gallery) in person at the F100 Western Nats. Robert prolly doesn't wear cufflinks when he drives it.
It would be the perfect weapon in a gang fight. One conk on the noggin with the puppy would render a person senseless...maybe kill 'em as dead as Julius Caesar.

Sorry, I meant "so he doesn't get his bolo tie caught in it when he turns."
I don't wear the Bolo tie. I only wear genuine Gangster ties.
Don't get me wrong, Bolo ties work fine, if you don't have the piano wire. What good Gangsta would be without, "Piano wire."
