Any of you know, if the first gen FRx increases the f/p with the stock spring. At the time, i installed the FRx, i was seeing 69/70 psi (frx installed), all day long. Now, i'm at 74/75 psi, sometimes knocking on 78/80 psi, but quickly falls down, once motors warmed up. I'm thinking its time to rebuild the FPR. Anyway, the reason being, i'm going with a WVO setup, dual tank. My VO pump, is set at 75psi, so i need to lower the psi on D2 side, for check valves to work correctly.
Saw posting where, the "black" spring is 69-75, gold is 62-66ish, and think silver it was, at 55-60ish....i'll buy whatever one, just not the black spring.
I should disconnect the FRx and install the stock FPR, see what reading it throws...anyway, gotta first gen FRx for sale?
i have the first gen with the stock spring and i get 62psi all the time.
WOW....I wonder if your pump is going south or i have had a restriction in return line since i've bought my truck. One of the first things i did, was rebuild the fuel bowl and install my FRx.
Gonna tear apart the FPR today, take a gander at it, hopefully i find something wrong, fix it, and go from there. Say, for sh$ts, i want to "trim" a coil off the spring. I know working on seadoo carbs, thats a NO, to do in the needle/seat assy, of the carb. Worst case, i lower the psi, where in a carb, cutting the spring can result in the motor being flooded with gas.
