1996 Ranger check engine light

1996 Ranger check engine light
Today out of nowhere the truck started running real rough and I noticed the check engine light had come on.
A little background on the truck. 1996 3.0 v6, Just had a smog check 2 months ago, passed great. 2 brand new o2 sensors forward of the catalytic converter and the rear one replaced a year ago. All maintenance is up to date.
Last time the check engine light came on (a year ago) it was the o2 sensors, hence I replaced all 3 eventually and the light went away.
But now the light is back on and it's running rough, not all the time but it seems when I feather the throttle or sit at an idle. Of course I want to fix this as fast as possible and the cheapest way.
Any suggestion or help?
