Okay everyone, I need help. I just received my dream truck. 2003 F250 XLT 4x4 with a 8' Monroe Service body. Great truck to work out off! I need a brake controller. I have read through the various postings and realize that the recommended controller seems to be the The Tekonsha Prodigy but I am curious if this might not be too much of a controller for me. I am in maintenance and will be hauling various rental equipment that has electric brakes from time to time, maybe 4 times a year, and I never know what the trailer will be (single axel, 2 axels, ect). Should I drop the big money and go for the Prodigy or is there maybe alittle less priced controller that will do good for me. Keep in mind I just dropped some major cash for my new truck

When you can buy the best for only $125 including free shipping, is it worth looking at anything else? Less expensive units will still run you about $75 with shipping and/or tax, etc. For an extra $50, you know you're ready for anything. Better to have & not need than to need & not have. If it's worth doing, it's worthing doing right. Why ask why -- drink Bud Dry.
