Single or Dual steering stabilizer???

I'm getting ready to put a 4 inch lift on my 05 Crew Cab PS. I'll be running 35x12.50 tires on it and I won't be taking it off road. I pull a trailer once in awhile, but not on a regular basis. So, with that said, is it worth the extra money for a dual steering stabilizer? Or would I be just fine with a single? Oh, and I'm looking at going with the Rancho shocks.

Dual only IMO

Some come with a single from the factory (mine). I only had 10,000 miles and mine was toast. I installed a Fabtech dual setup last month for $170 (I think). Made a world of difference.

Remember, 35" tires are a hefty load

My factory has 153k miles on it. I am running 33" tires and have no bump steer.

For 35s I would say dual. For a stock truck, like mine, a single does nicely.

One of the best values on the market is the dual steering stabilizer kit from TopgunCustomz.com. They offer a nice "heavy duty" bracket (black or silver) with various shocks to fit your budget.

Basic Shocks - $159.95
Bilstein Shocks - $309.95
Fox Shocks - $449.95
King Shocks - 619.95

Not trying to hijack the thread.......
but instead of creating a new one...

I have an 03' F250 FX4, and the front stock stabilizer is quite rusted and looks like its bent a little?

There any direct fit after-market that will fit there? Like Rancho or something? One I would NOT need to install new brackets for.

Yes, Rancho makes one that is a direct replacement. I just replaced mine last week.

dude go dual stabilizer, on my 2004 im only running 33'' and i just instaled a sky jacker dual kit and what a world of difference! i get absolutely no shake's shimmies or any wheel movement at all now. a single shock is not enough on these heavy trucks and the dual kit will make a world of difference, you will be real happy.

one thing i like about the 05 and up SD's is that the dual kit sits above the axle centerline. i dont off road my 350 so i dont care but if this was on my 1978 f-150 it would last a week on that truck

Thanks for all the comments guys. Looks like it's a unanimous vote for duals. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting money for something that was overkill. I think I'm going to go with the Rancho setup.

trust me, you'll like this. remember, that many of the dual steer setups on the 05+ require a 4" lift kit installed as well. The panhard bar will hit the drivers side stabilizer shock on a stock hieght truck.

I think there is one floating around for a stock height truck, but I can't remember the name right now

No lift required on my '06 SD with the Rancho Dual setup.

Rough Country has singles and duals RoughCountry.com
2005 - 2007 F250 / F350 Super Duty SINGLE 87322 - $49.95 DUAL 87491 - $129.95
I used a single on my 06 F350. Solved the dreaded "Death Wobble" Should that every come back I'd do a dual. Instructions were worthless. O yeah right, there were no instructions. Sent them a nasty email. Never heard back. Good quality and fast delivery though.
My $0.02 worth
