Well after reringing my injectors after a hydrolock, got it all back together and is running smooth. Had a little smoke the first few times it was cranked after the repairs but now everything seems to be ok. Went ahead and put in my coolant filter while we had it apart. Only issue is after it warms up it is a little hard to start. Takes about 10 secs or so instead of the normal 2-3. Anyway I appreciate everyones input. Luckily I hadnt blown an injector instead of just bad o-rings and completely missing a washer on one. Apparently whoever did the injectors before must have rushed it. Anyway thanks again to everyone and a special thanks to BLADE35, had alot of helpful pm's goin on.
typically a burned/missing copper washer is caused by a failed hold down clamp. the damage also normally results in at min that one injector be replaced do to the barrell being burned and damaging the unit.
I havent had time to just get it out on the road. And no I dont believe the scanner has those. I am probably going to get a scanguage ii when I get some extra cash. I know it would be a useful tool. I did clean the egr valve when we had it apart and it was pretty gummed up but not as bad as I had figured. Down in the chamber was pretty black too. I think I read somewhere that if it looks steamcleaned that it is not a good sign but mine was black down in there so I guess Im in the clear so far on the egr cooler although I do want to do a delete as time and money permits.
