dual thermoactor valve question

Hello all,

I'm getting ready for a 5.8 swap in my '90 F250 which currently has the original 5.0 in it. I've been doing a lot of research on the swap itself as well as looking under as many hoods as possible at the local bone yards. The one thing that I've noticed is that the 5.8's all seem to use a dual theromactor valve system while the 5.0's use a single system.

My donor motor came from a '92 F250 so it still had the SD air intake system, just like the 5.0 in the truck right now. The donor truck engine (the 5.8) uses the dual system. I have no idea on how the (2) air tubes connect into the exhaust system. I assume they go to the CAT somewhere, but that was already missing on my parts truck and every truck in the bone yards already have the CATs removed.

Can anyone tell me ( or post a pic) on how the air tubes attach into the exhaust system? I assume that I need to keep the dual system w/ the 5.8 so the computer doesn't throw codes. I fully intend to keeping the emissions equipment in tact and functioning, I like clean air as much as the next person!

Thanks for any help.
