Looking for a Ferret V765 timing adapter. If anyone has one to sell, please contact me via message. There is a Rotunda timing meter on E bay but after reading your posts, I think I will hold out for a Ferret. They are quite a bit more expensive though.

Sry not trying to hijack anything but NONE of the auto dealers or repair shops around me have even heard of the ferret timing device and they all acted like I was stupid I swear just because it don't have a CPU most people have forgotten about the old 6.9's and 7.3's

One dealership knows about the 7.3 idi because it's in some of the buses but they said we just set it to the timing marks and as long as it starts and runs we leave it alone its a shame everyone wonders why the schools have no $$$
Thanks. Seems a bit pricey to use and put in the tool box for another year. Was hoping to score a used one but will probably have to part with the bucks and buy one.

I just made the decision to spend the money and buy it; to have it available whenever I need it. Yes it costs money, but paying someone to time it 2-3 times and you have paid for the adapter kit.

right.
and if you don't have anyone time it correctly, then you could just end up paying more than the cost at the pump due to poor fuel economy.
no one rides for free.buying the tool cost $. paying someone to time it cost $. timing it incorrectly by ear could cost a whole engine $. and not timing it at all will cost $ in wasted fuel.
Not to beat a dead horse, but how do you guys like this meter? I'm thinking of buying one. I don't think the "shop" that did mine actually did it at all, doesn't sound any different.
Just bought one, got it yesterday, like it, works well.
Did have a bit of an issue getting it to work until I moved the light pickup on the Ferret loop to a straight area of the loop closer to the "Spark Plug" indicator tape.
I use a Craftsman 2194, love this light, had it for ~30 years.
Linear Xenon flash tube with Fresnel lens ... Bright enough to see in daylight.
Direct reading advance scale/dial.
Hooked it up to my 94 that I timed by ear, 10 degrees BTDC, Left it alone.
As soon as I get this 3.0 Quattro out of here, my 94 is coming back in the shop and I'll back it off a bit then.
