Talking Good load behind a 300!

Just braggin'

Pulled my old storage trailer home (45 miles) running on 4 tires dating from 1992.... No problems!

Trailer empty tips at just over 2600 lbs. Loaded like it is full of Ford body parts, my old 4 wheeler, 1968 Kohler generator and lots of tools and crap, must be a good 4500lbs.

Pulling that thing was bad really.....stopping was another story but wasn't as bad as I taught it would of been. This thing has damn good brakes for a half ton truck.

Axle was 1.5" from the bump stop she was sitting low!

Front wheels were like this \---/

Full to the door!

Good ol' 300

Nice!....Man, I love those turbine wheels.....They're RARE around here.....And I love'm......ALways have liked them...Especially in the Panther Chassis'd cars...(Crown Vics, Mercury's, etc.....)

I'm sorta lookin out for a set of old steelies for my truck...I have the Dog Dish Caps an beauty rings......Just have to get the rims to fit...

And thats SOOOOOOOOOO bad that bed is in mint shape...and a short bed.....

Have you thought of bobbing the frame and making it a shortbed frame? Just so everything mates/matches up?

If Not....I'd personally have that space filler with a fuel cell.....

That bed is mint, but the fenders were repaired. Just be feeling under the fender well, I can feel the repair panel.

I'm not one to mess around with frames. I'm gonna make a custom chrome diamond plated tool box in that space, and have the side panels bent and formed to match the body lines.

I kind of like it like this actually, makes my laugh everytime I see people looking at this thing. Get alot of weird looks from people.

But it's gonna sweet with that tool box and fresh raven black paint

I like it!

here's a thought...Why not get a converter...And make one side a minifridge....And the other a toolbox....

The kicker?

Have the whole side section pivot away....As a door.....I think that'd be SWEET.....

Plus, you'd always have cold brewskies!

It's a hitch, no idea what class. Came off a 1991 F250 4x4 Diesel.

Got it for free!

I've towed 7000-7500 lbs (full size truck on a car hauler) behind my 95 300 a couple times. That was with 35" tires and the stock 3.55 gears. Didn't set any speed records, but it got the job done no problem. Also towed some smaller cars on the car hauler several times. Previous owner occasionally pulled a skid loader with it, that was when the truck was stock.

It may be your gearing, but a full tune up... ignition/air & fuel filters/oils & fluids may be in order...

My parent's bought it for me from my brother in-law & well, he was no master mechanic, & well neither am I... He put new plugs and wires in it when he bought which was only a couple months before he sold it me & I changed the oil & such, the air filter seems fine, it has a zf-5 I believe, & 3.55 gears.

zf-5 = 4 + Over Drive? is that correct?
